Bismillahi wa โala barakatillahi.

In the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah.
This simple yet powerful supplication invites Allahโs blessings into our meal and protects us from harm.
The Prophet Muhammad (๏ทบ) emphasized the importance of mentioning Allahโs name before eating.
๐ The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said:
“When any one of you eats, let him mention the name of Allah. If he forgets to mention the name of Allah at the beginning, let him say: ‘Bismillah awwalahu wa akhirahu’ (In the name of Allah, at the beginning and at the end).”
(Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi)
From this hadith, we learn that reciting Bismillah before eating is an essential Sunnah. If forgotten, it should be recited as soon as one remembers.
